FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
?
Is there a minimum level of mobility that my child must have to participate?
Our goal is to be as inclusive as possible. If your child has limited mobility, please let us know and we will do our best to incorporate modified activities they can participate in. You are also more than welcome to attend the workshops with your child.
?
Am I able to attend the camp with my child?
Yes! A guardian or an aid is more than welcome to attend the virtual workshops with your child. However, we do want the children to feel a sense of independence during the day. If you believe your child to be capable of attending alone, we encourage you to try. Given the virtual format of the camp this year, you may be in close proximity during the workshops in case your child needs assistance.
?
Does my child need to be able to follow directions on their own?
If your child may have difficulty understanding directions, please let us know, we will inform all instructors and make every effort to distribute our volunteers accordingly. You are also welcome to accompany your child if you feel that it will be necessary.
?
Can my child attend the camp along with a sibling or friend?
Yes! Although we want the children to meet others like them, siblings are welcome. If you feel that your child would benefit from having the company of a sibling or a friend you may submit two separate applications. If your children are not close in age, please let us know if you would like for them to be placed in separate groups or not.
